Dottie Butler became acquainted with The Ranches through Lion’s Club. Each Christmas, several Lion’s Clubs travel to Boys and Girls Ranch to bring gifts and cook lunch for everyone.
Dottie asked if she could share her sewing talent with the young people. She and her friend, Gail Stark, come to The Ranch every other Thursday and spend two hours showing the residents how to select material, use a pattern to cut out the project and then sew the pieces together.
The residents started with making pillowcases. The residents are proud of their finished projects and have enjoyed learning a new skill.
Our thanks to Dottie and Gail for sharing their time with the residents!
